Lance Armstrong’s doping scandal has negative influence on Livestrong

The USADA published a report related to doping by the well-known American cyclist Lance Armstrong. According to the report, this sportsperson used steroids and other related medicines. After publishing certain sponsors that donated for Lance Armstrong’s foundation Livestrong decided to cut their links with this cyclist and his foundation.
One of companies that decided to stop sponsoring the organization which fights against cancer is Nike. This company was working much time with Lance Armstrong. Ultimately Nike announced that it would not have anything longer with the sportsperson who was cheating more than 10 years.
24 Hour Fitness also refused to work with Lance Armstrong anymore.
Some other companies also made the decision to stop sponsoring Livestrong.
However, Lance Armstrong tried to do anything in order to prevent negative influence of his athletic reputation on the foundation which helps persons the experience cancer to survive. He announced that he would not be the chairman of the organization anymore. Although the sportsperson tried to keep sponsors, he couldn’t do it.
As for the USADA, it announced that Lance Armstrong was found guilty of doping. As a result, the cyclist received lifetime suspension. Moreover, he lost all 7 titles acquired at Tour de France.
But the International Cycling Union (ICU) claimed that the USADA made a wrong decision. Although Lance Armstrong discontinued fighting against accusations pronounced by the USADA, the ICU said that it would appeal the decision even without involvement of the sportsperson.
Although Lance Armstrong never tested positive for any banned medicine, it was concluded that he was guilty of doping. It was affirmed that he applied steroids and other banned drugs but he used some simple as well sophisticated ways in order to prevent positives. Thus, the athlete was capable to dope and remain undetectable.
Now the athlete pays for his cheating. The decision of several companies to discontinue sponsoring his organization is a great loss for this man.
