According to certain specialists, Gamma-Hydroxybutyric acid is the only drug that can cause rhabdomyolsis

Over 10 players of the Iowa Hawkeyes football team were taken in hospital due to  rhabdomyolsis. This is a disease linked with quick damage of skeletal muscle which results in leakage into urine myoglobin, a muscle protein. Persons with this condition suffer from severe muscle pains, weakness and soreness. Since byproducts of the muscle destruction become toxic to the kidneys, there is an increased risk of kidney failure under this circumstance.
Specialists began promptly to blame nephrotoxic supplements or anabolic steroids in appearance of rhabdomyolsis in players of the Hawkeyes but there was no any  connection between these medications and this condition in them. The physician James Williams told to CBS during an interview that nephrotoxic supplements were responsible for rhabdomyolsis in these football players. He claimed that persons had dehydration, when their muscles became broken due to hard trainings. When supplements are applied in such situations, they are turned to be toxic to kidneys directly, according to James William. He added that this condition caused rhabdomyolsis.
Unfortunately, the media didn’t interview real high-qualified specialists. Only so-called specialists were asked by media. That’s why the explanations were misleading.
It is said that Mike Gimbel of a Maryland anti-steroid and anti-supplement organization doesn’t have needed knowledge. Mike Gimbel just claims that however they do not know how the supplements act in body and whether they cause any positive effects, these products are very dangerous for health.
Nevertheless, certain aspects displayed that anabolic steroids were not responsible for rhabdomyolsis of the football players. They submitted to tests for banned drugs and they tested negative. Furthermore, an expert has studied and shown that there was no any relation between muscle damages and anabolic steroids or HGH. Richard J. Auchus, a specialist on steroid metabolism at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, confirms that gamma-Hydroxybutyric acid is the only medication that could lead to this illness. Sometimes this drug is used for anabolic effects too. It is an illegal medicine. Several specialists like Auchus, a consultant of the U. S. Anti-Doping Agency, believe that no any drug is to be blamed for this disease of these football players. He believes that the muscle disorder is caused by extremely hard training to which the coaches pushed the players.
The trainer Chris Doyle will be probably blamed for rhabodomyolsis of the football players, if steroids or other supplements will be not turned to be the reasons of the condition. Who knows? Even sport in itself may be accompanied by certain risks.

Sportswriters put efforts to create steroid scandals related to the Pittsburgh Steelers

When it is proclaimed that the Pittsburgh Steelers are going to play, sportswriters seem to have responsibility to write about their relations with steroids. They try to create a steroid scandal and to define any supposed connections of this team with it.
Mike Fish of ESPN displayed the same attitude, when this football team played in the 2009 Super Bowl.  This reporter turned to be successful in writing news about this football team and steroids.
However sportswriters are not always lucky, when it comes to connections of a team or an individual with performance-enhancing drugs before a competition, the situation is changed, if it is said about the Pittsburgh Steelers. Reporters prefer writing about their history, about the lesson connected with anabolic steroids that took place in 1970s.
David Fleming wrote about historical lessons of the Pittsburgh Steelers before a game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Green Bay Packers. This sportswriter reported about time, when the NFL hadn’t yet forbidden usage of steroids. Thus, according to some sources, players of the Pittsburgh Steelers used steroids in the late 1970s. It is noted in the 1991 book “False Glory: The Steve Courson Story” that more than 70 % of the offensive linemen of the Pittsburgh Steelers  applied steroids.
It must have been true but you must understand that usage of steroids was not forbidden. Why are the Steelers blamed, if intake of steroids was allowed?
Jim Haslett told the New Orleans Saints that the Pittsburgh Steelers had won numerous times in 1970s and in 1980s because of steroids. According to this trainer, the football players of the team became much stronger due to administration of steroids.
But it is necessary to be careful here. The Steelers were not the first football team that administrated steroids and other medicines which possess performance-enhancing effects. There were other teams in professional football that took steroids even in well-organized manner.
Matt Chaneygives the better explanation connected with administration of steroids by football players. He mentioned in his book “The Spiral of Denial: Muscle Doping in American football” that the Steelers hadn’t to be demonized for the steroid revolution in football. There was another team that had to be condemned for this aspect. The San Diego Charges took steroids before the Pittsburgh Steelers in 1960s.
However the Steelers took steroids in 1970s, it is impossible to suppose that they won due to steroids. There were also players of other teams that administrated these products too. Nonetheless, the Pittsburgh Steelers were successful!

Trenbolone doesn’t lead to unwanted results linked with DHT and estrogen

Trenbolone is an anabolic steroid which is applied by bodybuilders for many years. Unluckily, this drug has never been claimed to be  an excellent medication for clinical needs. It is not approved for human intake by the U. S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). This drug has been demonized many times by media. Many articles have assured that this medicine is very  dangerous. But recent studies have displayed opposite facts. It is supposed that general attitude to this preparation may be soon  changed. Experts from Florida, including Joshua Yarrow, confirm that this medicine may be administrated as testosterone for hormone replacement therapy.  The experts are sure that it is an appropriate alternative drug to testosterone for the purpose mentioned above. Results of studies conducted by these experts have been published in the American Journal of Physiology – Endocrinology and Metabolism.
Moreover, the specialists proclaim that trenbolone enanthate has even several priorities over testosterone for several persons. Bodybuilders  know and support the affirmations linked with this medication. It is known that testosterone aromatases. As for trenbolone, it is turned neither to estradiol, nor to dihydrotestosterone (DHT). That’s why it doesn’t lead to adverse effects connected with estrogen and DHT.
Joshua Yarrow  reports about the studies conducted by him and his colleagues. Castrated rats have been given trenbolone enanthate.  Even reduced dosages of this preparation have increased their muscle mass and kept bone mineral density. There have not been observed such unexpected reactions, as prostate enlargement or polycythemia in these lab rats.
But very induced quantities of testosterone enanthate were required to produce the same anabolic effects in muscles as were caused by reduced measures of trenbolone enanthate. But such side symptoms, as prostate enlargement and induced hemoglobin accompanied the increased quantities of testosterone enanthate. It is supposed by the researchers that trenbolone acts as selective androgen receptor modulators, producing anabolic effects in muscles and bones without androgenic side symptoms.
Professional competitive bodybuilders prefer using trenbolone some weeks before competitions because it lead to fat loss. Moreover, the researches have displayed that the same measures of trenbolone have more powerful lipolytic effects than those of testosterone. It has been determined that more trenbolone a person administrates, the greater the fat loss is produced.
Since trenbolone lacks aromatization, it is commonly used together with such steroids, as testosterone, Dianabol or with another aromatizable steroid. The lack of aromatization makes trenbolone unable to be administrated alone for testosterone replacement therapy. The non-aromatizable property of this remedy is responsible for just partial protective effect of bones.
Nonetheless, it is possible to make conclusion that additional researches are needed in order to apply trenbolone for hormone replacement therapy.

Some experts become disappointed in decisions of the WADA

The Spanish cyclist Alberto Contador who won the 2010 Tour de France tested positive for Clenbuterol. Amounts of this substance in his body were extremely small. They were 40 times less than its minimum standard of the detection ability. But the WADA is not tolerable at all when it comes to this substance. Any quantity of this medicine detected in a sportsperson’s body results in ban.
The Spanish cyclist Alberto contador confirms that contaminated meat is responsible for his positive for Clenbuterol. A lot of experts are inclined to believe himbecause the quantity detected in his urine are extremely small.   Neveretheless, the cyсlist Alberto Contadorwas banned.
Douwe de Boer, anti-doping expert of Contador’s defense team, announces that he becomes disappointed in the WADA’s decision day by day. This specialist notes that it seems as if the WADA were glad to ban innocent sportspersons but not to determine cheaters.
Zhao Jian of China’s Anti-Doping Agency confirms that a person can test positive from contaminated meat. It is not just anyone’s opinion. This statement is scientifically proven. The expert Detlef Thieme from Germany supports this affirmation too.  He reports that nobody can doubt about it.
Wilhelm Schaenzer of the Laboratoty for Doping Analysis at the German Sports University in Cologne proclaims that it is an obvious problem that they are not capable to investigate and determine doping clearly.
According to anti-doping studies led in Cologne, it is more likely to detect Clenbuterol from contaminated meat than from intentional intake of this product for performance-enhancing effects.
National Anti-Doping Laboratory from China reports that experiments led by them have shown that consumption of pork meat that contains Clenbuterol can cause positives for this substance.
But there are skeptic individuals who believe that the Spanish cyclist Alberto Contador has used forbidden drugs.
Skeptic attitude to the professional cyclist Alberto Contador can be explained by the aspect that administration of EPO, anabolic steroids, HGH and other drugs which possess performance-enhancing effects is widespread in cycling. The former cyclists Floyd Landis and Bernhard Kohl that have been caught by the WADA assure that all cyclists use performance-enhancing drugs. Patrick Arnold, a chemist has the same point of view.

How are dreams of some athletes destroyed?

Decisions of anti-doping agencies are not fair in several cases. Since certain sportspersons are caught breaking anti-doping rules, the whole teams receive suspensions. So, individuals that don’t violate anti-doping rules receive suspensions together with cheaters. Can’t you find it  unfair? Why must good athletes be kept from making their hopes and dreams real, while other individuals cheat?
The Waterloo football program was shut down for a year. It was because of results of an investigation.  Everything started from a bust of a player that was caught having thousands of  vials of anabolic steroids and HGH. This detection caused many investigations led in Canadian colleges. The investigations were conducted by the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport.
An investigation displayed eight positives of the Waterloo football players. It led to decision to suspend the whole team for a year.
Unfortunately, innocent players of the Waterloo College were suspended together with cheaters who utilized prohibited performance-enhancing medicines. The players Matt Vonk and Steve Ples  played at Laurier before the scandal related to steroids and the suspension. These two players didn’t administrate steroids. That’s why These football players hadn’t receive the suspension.
These two former football players for the University of Waterloo intended to transfer to another college in order to realize their dreams related to football. But these players received refusal. Thus, these two football players will be kept from playing football the whole year.

What do you think about journalists that write about a popular steroid, spelling its name incorrectly?

Since topics connected with steroids are popular around the world, a lot of reporters write about them even lacking proper knowledge about these products. Some journalists can’t even spell names of the preparations about which they write pieces of news. If an article’s subject is connected with a celebrated steroid used by many athletes, readers expect to find out about important characteristics and studies connected with this steroid. A reporter that writes about a steroid should know at least general information linked with it.
Unluckily, you can come across essential lack of knowledge, when you read pieces of news linked with steroids. For example, Matthew Kelly has written an article about Nandrolone Decanoate which was published in the Newcastle Herald newspaper. It is known that the trade name of this substance is very celebrated. Sportspersons frequently call it shortly: they name it just Deca instead of Deca Durabolin.  The name  “Deca Durabolin” has been used for more than 50 years. But the reporter of the Newcastle Herald has done mistakes even in the name of this steroid. This author has written it following: Decca Duarbulon. Can you trust this reporter? Can you be sure that the other affirmations that are written by this journalist  are correct, if he can’t even write the name of the preparation correctly? Furthermore, it is not the only case displayed the lack of knowledge  about the things he writes. The Newcastle Herald seems to lack studies connected with steroids. Matthew Kelly asks the local trainer to support his confirmation about steroids that is following: black market of anabolic steroids is full of young bodybuilders who seek medications that possess performance-enhancing effects to build attractive bodies. Since it must be true, the trainer can’t support the confirmation because he knows just the aspects he has been told. He can report nothing really because he is not involved in this problem directly.
Another lack of researches is displayed in the Newcastle Herald’s description of the methods to detect steroid users. It is written that if a person has muscled arms but not chest or  an increased chest and not arms, he\she is a consumer of steroids. This is the “depth” of studies provided by the Newcastle Herald.
